SIMPLE EVERYDAY STEPS TO MAKE YOU LOOK AND FEEL YOUNGER!
1. Change something every day
Whether it’s trying a new food, a different walk to work or reading something you never normally would, new experiences give your mind a boost and prompt good-feeling hormones.
2. Be selfish
Even if it just means an early night with a book or a long bath, you need to de-stress and relax your mind and body every day. Less stress means a happier, livelier, younger you, so grab some ‘me-time’ today.
3. Take some exercise
It doesn’t have to be running a marathon (though that IS a good idea!), just 20 minutes a day of being outside, whether it’s walking in the park or going for a run, boosts blood flow to the brain and makes your thinking sharper. Being outside is especially good for you. Oh, and it lifts your bum and flattens your belly! As a step teacher we know says, “Who hasn’t got 20 minutes?”
4. Take a deep breath
We’re all so busy these days, we sometimes forget to breathe properly. Try to take four deep breaths, up to four times a day. This instantly calms you down, cheers you up and boosts your lung capacity – which can only make you look better!
5. Drink up
Wish you could spend lots of money on pricey face creams to look younger? Not necessary! The best beauty aid is water – it hydrates your skin and keeps it smooth. Aim to drink over a litre a day by keeping a jug of water in the fridge or on your desk at work.
