Make Time For A Home Pedicure
STEP 1
Remove all dead skin and unsightly calluses by using this great lotion! Ciaté Rich Papaya Foot Renew Potion, £14 (www.ciate.co.uk). Simply dab on the affected area and leave for 10 minutes or so. Now file away with the OPI Callus File, £21.25 (www.lenawhite.co.uk) – it’s the best we’ve ever tried, well, it didn’t win an Essentials beauty award for nothing, y’know!
STEP 2
Give your feet a bit of extra TLC with a rich moisturiser. Beauty Ed, Sarah swears by Lanolips Golden Ointment, £17.99 (www.victoriahealth.com) to completely transform grotty feet – you can also use it on lips, elbows and anywhere else that needs an injection of moisture. Soften hard skin by slathering your feet with the stuff, pop on some socks and go to bed – by the time you wake up in the morning, they’ll be lovely and smooth.
STEP 3
Time for your toes… File and buff nails to perfection with Models Own Nail Files, £3 for two (www.boots.com). File nails straight across and buff to a smooth high shine.
STEP 4
Now for our favourite bit – the polish. First, wipe each nail with a cotton pad soaked in remover to create a clean, oil-free base. Use a base coat, then apply two coats of colour. For a classic shade that looks good on everyone, try Essie Nail Polish in Head Mistress, £7.99 (selected branches of Boots and Superdrug). It’s the kind of red everyone should have in their beauty kit.
STEP 5
Keep your polish super-shiny and long-lasting with a dazzlingly glossy topcoat. We love Jessica Brilliance High Gloss Top Coat, £11.25 (www.gerrardinternational.com).
